‘Who touched me?’ – book launch
4pm / part of Edition VI – Event and Duration Finale / If I Can’t Dance, I Don’t Want To Be Part Of Your Revolution, Amsterdam / presented at San Serriffe, Amsterdam
To celebrate the publication of Fred Moten and Wu Tsang’s new book Who touched me? a launch was held at the art and design bookshop, San Serriffe in Amsterdam. On the evening Moten and Tsang was joined by the publication’s designer, Will Holder. The book is the companion to Moten and Tsang’s sculpture performance Gravitational Feel.
In the publication, they write of the book: “There it was, word for word, the book that took the place of a juke joint. The book that took place. The book that happened, and was gone, like a rocket stage, a kicked-away ladder. Let’s make a book you can walk through, all the way to the end of the book, out into the other side of the book. Incommunicado, a general communicability.”
The book launch of Who touched me? was presented as part of If I Can’t Dance’s Finale for Edition VI – Event and Duration (2015–2016).
